The Polls Keep Getting Worse for Poilievre

Another week of strong Liberal polling leaves the Conservatives facing their worst model result yet

Welcome to your Polling Canada model update for August 15, 2026!

This past week saw five new polls, the weekly Nanos and Liaison trackers, Leger, Research Co, and EKOS.

Liaison found the Liberals at 44% (+1 compared to Aug 1), with the Conservatives at 31% (-3), NDP at 13% (+1), BQ at 6% (-), GPC at 3% (+2) and the PPC at 2% (-).

Nanos had the Liberals down to 43% (-1 compared to July 31), with the Conservatives at 29% (+1), NDP at 13% (-), the Bloc at 7% (+1), the Greens at 4% (-), and the PPC down to 1% (-1).

Leger saw the Liberals down to 46% (-2 compared to Jun 22), with the Conservatives at 34% (-), NDP at 8% (+2), Bloc at 6% (-), and the Greens are 4% (-).

Research Co saw the biggest change this week, with the Liberals up to 47% (+1 compared to May 8), Conservatives down to 27% (-4), NDP at 10% (-1), Bloc at 6% (-1), Greens at 5% (+2), and the PPC up to 4% (+3).

EKOS also have a noticeable change in their polling, having the Liberals down to 45% (-1 compared to Apr 22), Conservatives at 27% (-2), NDP up to 17% (+5), Bloc at 4% (-3), Greens at 4% (-), and the PPC at 2% (-).



This week, we saw the Liberal lead nationally rise by three points to end at thirteen points.

The Liberal lead grew in Ontario (+3 compared to last week), British Columbia (+2), and Atlantic Canada (+1). Meanwhile, the Conservative leads shrunk in Saskatchewan/Manitoba (-8) and Alberta (-7).
