PQ Maintains Lead as PCQ Surge in Quebec City

The PQ holds a 30% province-wide lead as the Conservatives climb to 31% in the Quebec City metro

Welcome to the Quebec update for August 12, 2026

In the past month, we’ve had about three new polls, so let’s run through them and see where things stand.

Synopsis’ latest poll found the PQ at 30% (-1 compared to Jun 7), the Liberals at 26% (+1), the CAQ at 20% (-1), the Conservatives at 15% (+3), and QS at 9% (-2).

Pallas found some movement towards the PQ and Liberals, with the PQ at 31% (+2 compared to Jun 12), the Liberals at 27% (+2), the CAQ at 19% (-1), the Conservatives at 14% (-), and QS at 9% (-2).

Léger’s poll had the PQ at 30% (Unchanged compared to Jun 14), the Liberals at 24% (-3), the CAQ at 20% (-1), the Conservatives at 13% (-), and QS at 11% (+3).
