No Appetite Among Albertans To Leave Canada

While Albertans would've preferred a Conservative government, they still identify as Canadian and believe staying in the nation is best for them economically

Earlier this week, Premier Danielle Smith said she would honour the results of an independence referendum should one receive enough signatures to make it onto the ballot next year.

While Smith said she does not support Alberta leaving Canada, it’s worth asking whether Albertans still believe that staying in Canada is in their best interest.

New polling from Nanos offers a glimpse into how Albertans are feeling post-election, with the idea of separatism seemingly unlikely.
