There’s news swirling around internal NDP and Liberal memos to campaign staffers to be ready for an upcoming election. Liberal memos are reportedly saying for campaign offices to be ready to go on March 1st, while NDP memos have told staffers that an election could come as early as March 10th.

Notably, the Liberal leadership election ends March 9th, so a rapid election call once a new Liberal leader is in place isn’t out of the question. The Liberals would be intent on giving the Conservatives as little time as possible to smear their new leader, while knee-capping the NDP by reducing their time to prepare for an election.

With that said, let’s see where the current polls stand and what a model of the current Polling Canada averages tell us about the state of the race today.
