Liberal Support Climbs One Month On
New polls show the Liberals gaining ground, while Pierre Poilievre sees a sharp drop in preferred Prime Minister ratings
Welcome to your Polling Canada model update for June 7, 2025!
This week we had three new polls from EKOS, Spark, and the weekly Nanos update.
EKOS provides the largest Liberal lead since the end of the election, with the Liberals at 44%, the Conservatives down to 32%, the NDP at 13%, and the Bloc at 5%. Unfortunately, EKOS did not release regional data, so only the topline numbers are included in the model this week.
Nanos found the Liberals at 42% and the Conservatives at 36%, with the NDP and Bloc at 11% and 7%, respectively (including 26% for the Bloc in Quebec).
Finally, Spark Insights suggests the post-election landscape looks much like the election results. They found the Liberals at 41%, the Conservatives at 40%, the NDP at 8%, and the Bloc at 7% (including 31% in Quebec).
Overall, the Liberals widened their national polling lead by three points this week. Their lead grew in Ontario (+3), with additional gains of three points in the Prairies and two points in Alberta.
Let’s take a look at the model this week!
