Leadership Reviews and Trade Take Centre Stage
With the numbers holding steady, leadership reviews and trade policy emerge as the most pressing issues

This past week saw two new polls, the weekly Nanos tracker and Liaison tracker.
Liaison saw the Liberals tick up to 39% (+1 compared to Jan 3), the Conservatives down to 36% (-1), and the NDP even at 12% (-). The Bloc was up to 8% (+1), the Greens steady at 3% (-), and PPC flat at 1% (-)
Nanos found the Liberals back up to 39% (+1 compared to Jan 2), the Conservatives flat at 36% (-), the NDP ticking down to 11% (-1), and the Bloc at 8% (-). The Greens and PPC were both flat at 4% and 2%, respectively.
Overall, the Liberal lead nationally increased to three points over the Conservatives.
The Liberal lead remains steady in Atlantic Canada and Ontario, while their lead slipped in Quebec (-1 compared to last week).
The Conservatives grew their lead in British Columbia (+1), while their lead ticked down in Alberta (-1), and the central prairies (-3).
