Welcome to your Polling Canada model update for August 23, 2025!

This week we had only one new poll with the weekly Nanos update, as such, we’ll keep this update on the shorter side of things.

Nanos saw the Liberals slip slightly to 44 percent (-1) while the Conservatives and NDP remained stable at 32 percent and 12 percent, respectively. The Bloc also ticked down to 5 percent (-1) while the PPC and Greens were stable at 3 percent each.

Overall, the Liberal lead in Atlantic Canada shrunk slightly this week, down one point compared to last week, with a similar situation in Ontario. The Conservative lead in Alberta also shrunk by one point, while the rest of the nation remains relatively unchanged.

Abacus is set to release a new poll on Sunday, which will be added into next week’s model update. As commented by David Coletto, the Conservatives seem to have taken the lead marginally in their polling, but more on that in a moment.

Let’s take a look at this week’s model!
