This week we had four new polls from Angus Reid, Abacus Data, Liaison, and the weekly Nanos tracker.
Angus Reid found the Conservatives maintaining their lead with 41% (+1 compared to September 4), Liberals at 38% (-), and NDP at 10% (-). The Bloc remains high at 8% (-), while the Greens are stable at 2% (-).
Abacus Data’s survey found the two parties in a dead heat, with the Liberals at 40% (-3 compared to September 2), Conservatives at 40% (-), and NDP at 8% (+2). The Bloc is steady at 7% (-), and the Greens are up to 3% (+1).
Liaison also found the Conservatives inching up, with the Liberals at 43% (-1 compared to August 27), Conservatives at 37% (+2), and NDP stable at 10% (-). The Bloc sits at 5% (-) and the Greens and PPC are both at 2% apiece, unchanged.
Lastly, Nanos found the Liberal lead slipping, with the Grits at 41% (-1 compared to September 12), Conservatives at 36% (+1), and NDP at 12% (-1). The Bloc, Greens, and PPC were all unchanged at 8%, 3%, and 2% respectively.
As a result, the Liberal lead nationally shrunk (-1 compared to last week), with their leads declining in Ontario (-2), Quebec (-2), and British Columbia (-2). Meanwhile, the Conservatives expanded their lead in the central prairies (+3).
